Bedding regulation is handled at the State level, rather than the Federal level. This means that products will have to follow the individual state regulations which can be found on the individual State websites. States of Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, California, New York, Virginia, Washington DC & West Virginia requires additional regulatory labelling (Uniform Law Label) for filled bedding items and upholstered furniture.

Founder, Fashion Designer and former NICU mother, Kate, had preterm premature rupture of membranes at 29 weeks gestation for unknown reasons in the fall of 2018. After being put on bedrest at the hospital for nearly two weeks, Kate, delivered a baby girl, Kovi, at 31 weeks and 3 days. From there, Kovi spent the next 7 weeks in the NICU, where mama, Kate, visited every single day.

Boyer first had the idea for technical maternity activewear when she was pregnant with her second child. Having recently moved to Maine, she was ready to enjoy the great outdoors in her new home, however she was unable to find a high-performing maternity baselayer that worked to wick sweat and keep her warm. Her husband offered to share his baselayers, but they were too big. And so the idea for Arctic Lynx was born.”
